Thank you for helping the Surfrider Foundation keep our Outer Banks beaches clean!
Sponsors are required to clean the access 6 times per year and log the cleanup data through the Ocean Conservancy’s Clean Swell program at coastalcleanupdata.org. The data collection records detailed information regarding types of debris and quantities found as well as who is participating and locations of cleanups. We have decided to join forces with Ocean Conservancy in our data collection because their system is easy to use, and we can now submit our data to an international database, while still being able to look up data locally.
***Search in your app store for Clean Swell: The Ocean Conservancy has developed an app so you can record the data on your phone as you cleanup! ***
Or you can download the Clean Swell app here
Click here to enter the information in online.
You’ll need to create an account which is easy enough. Then you can search for the street name and town of where you cleaned up. Place a pin in the location and enter in your data!
