There are 3 ways to be involved!!
1) REGISTER TO PLUNGE
To take a plunge please click the “REGISTER TO PLUNGE” button, which will help you sign up for an individual entry.
Freezing your tail off first thing in the morning not exactly your thing? No Problem!
2) DONATE
Click the “DONATE” button to make donation to our chapter. No plunging necessary.
3) PARTICIPANTS
The “Celebrity Plunger” option!! Click on the “PARTICIPANTS” Button, scroll over to your favorite local celebrity, and click on the “visit fundraising page” link to support our fabulous local celebrities who have kindly agreed to represent their towns and schools.
The Mayors of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, and Kitty Hawk will be plunging and you can donate in the name of your Mayor . . The mayor raising the most donations will win the coveted “Golden Plunger” award to proudly display at Town Hall!
As if that wasn’t enough, you also have the option to donate in support of your favorite Dare County Public School Principal! The Principal to raise the most donations will receive a gift bag filled with love and swag from your favorite local shops and businesses!
All proceeds from this event will directly help fund your local Surfrider Chapter fund our Blue Water Task Force Initiative, a citizen water quality monitoring program aimed at raising awareness of local pollution problems and bringing together communities to implement solutions.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Immediately following the event, everyone and anyone is invited to Jack Brown’s KDH for an awesome Surfrider afterparty including:
- Special Surfrider Breakfast Menu and Keg tapping for the public
- plungers get a free breakfast
- Live Music by “The Connection” out of Williamsburg Va
- Opportunity Drawings fueled by local vendors and shops
