Tomorrow June 16th we we celebrate World Sea Turtle Day.
Here are a few things you can do to be a
1} Fill in holes and knock down your sand castles before you
leave the beach
2} Pick up trash on the beach and in the surf
3} Remove all beach furniture when not in use
4} DON’T release balloons
5} Use REEF safe sunscreens
7} Pick up your fishing gear when your done fishing
8} Using reusable bottles and bags instead of single use
9} Stay 100 yards away from a beached sea turtle or nesting
Our oceans sea turtles are facing more threats in today’s world then ever before from plastics, fishing gear and pollution being put in our oceans.
At the end of the day you don’t have to be a marine scientist to help turn the tides for our sea turtles . Take action TODAY by following the steps above and educating yourself, your family and your friends on these action too.

Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic in our country, with regards for health and safety of our community, we regret to announce the cancellation of this years 2020 Paddle Race. The volunteers, staff, and public remain top priority to the Surfrider Foundation, as we discuss when it’s appropriate to continue with in person activities, following all local and state health regulations.
We will have virtual outreach and fundraising events in the near future, along with some exciting contest. Please continue to follow us on social media. We would like to thank you all for your continued support, and wish you and your families well.
